This course offers unparalleled insights into engaging with diverse, multidisciplinary, and multicultural audiences. It covers effective management of critical stakeholders and equips participants with strategies for engagement and negotiation across businesses, policymakers, and civil societies at local, European, and international levels.

**Course Format:**     

The curriculum is structured into 7 comprehensive modules, blending theoretical knowledge with practical exercises. This dual approach ensures a deep understanding of strategic stakeholder engagement principles. By the conclusion of the modules, participants will not only gain a thorough overview of these principles but also develop the confidence to create strategic plans for engaging critical stakeholders effectively.

The educational program will provide a blend of lecture-based learning (ex-cathedra) complemented by highly engaging exercises, alongside real-world insights. This approach ensures a comprehensive learning experience that balances theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice.

Course 1: Engagement Strategy (2 hours)

  • Mandate, Objectives and Measures
  • Framing the debate ( “What”)
  • Identifying critical stakeholders (“Who”)
    • Stakeholders Map
    • Identifying the agenda(s) and the influences
  • Building engagement strategy: coalitions, alliances, press & media (“How”)

Module 2: Crafting and sharing impactful Messages (2 Hours)

  • Understanding the role of values
  • Define the raison d’être of the Organisation (“Why”)
  • Explore the Unique Value Proposition of the Organisation
  • Exercise the impact of efficient engagement

Course 3: Identify your critical stakeholder and manage Multicultural Audiences (2 Hours)

  • Identify your target and audience(s)
    • Personae & Empathy Map
  • Managing multicultural targets & audiences

Module 4 : Public Speaking  (4 Hours Saturday Morning)

  • Explore the last findings in neuroscience and understand brain’s role in cognitive processes and how these can be harnessed in the context of stakeholder engagement and influence strategies :
    • Mastering non verbal & verbal communications
    • Gain a basic understanding of how the brain functions during stakeholders engagement
    • Recognize and mitigate major cognitive biases to improve reasoning and communication

Module 5: Practicing Strategic Engagement & Public Speaking (4 Hours Saturday Morning)

  • Rehearsal on how to engage a critical stakeholder

Course 6: Negotiating with critical Stakeholders & closing the deal (2H)

  • Introduction to the Principled Negotiation
  • Managing Conflicts in any negotiation
  • Training and role playing
